Dear Motoring Enthusiasts, Hot Rodders, Motor Sports Fans, Racers and Supporters. The Scenic Rim Motor Sports Association Inc. is made up of a small dedicated group of racers and enthusiasts. We have been lobbying State Government and Local Council for many year now to acquire land in the Scenic Rim Area big enough to build a community based Motor Sports and Training facility and we are getting closer to a decision being made by the State Government. We now have over 13000 petition signatures and members. Our Mission statement is “Giving Motorsport back to the people” Our plan is to build the Motorplex and Training Centre in 5 Stages. To do this we require approximately 750 acres to fulfil the whole venture which includes 18 different Motorsports eg. Drag Racing, Speedway, Jet Boats, Touring Cars, Drift Car Track, Lawn Mower Racing, Remote Control Motorsports just to name a few. The Scenic Rim Motor Sports Association is fully incorporated and is affiliated with CAMS is fully incorporated and is affiliated with CAMS. We also are supported by the Australian Streed Rod Association, Sprint Cars Queensland, ANDRA, Speedway Australia, Scenic Rim Council, Queensland Police Service and various Driver Training Services. Our Association holds various fundraising events each year. These are Super Sunday Car and Hot Rod shows, Beaudesert Spring Swap meet, Beaudesert Summer Swap meet, Sausage sizzles and other club outings. Our proposal has been submitted to the State Government through the Treasury and Land Management Departments and we are waiting on their decision on what they are going to do with the land. If you want to help come to our meetings, get involved with our Association lobby your state member to get their support and help get this through the Government process.
